Our Mission

Music lovers
deserve a room.

If you love music, you deserve more than playlists and group chats — a real place to go with it, with people who get why it matters. Booth builds that: shared sessions, events, and a scene that keeps growing.

DJing is how we do it in person — hands on the faders, surrounded by people who push you to get better. Not through tutorials, or alone at home. Every city gets a studio, an instructor, and the seedlings of a community.

More Than Lessons

A club around
the booth.

We're not a course you finish and forget. The goal is practice, socials, shows, promotion, and the general fun of being part of something built for people who love music — and don't take themselves too seriously.

Community

A place that feels like yours.

Studios staffed by people who love this stuff, instructors trained to our standards, and local groups small enough to know your name.

Social

People who get it.

Welcome nights, listening sessions, pair-ups, and the kind of hangouts where someone always has a track you need to hear.

Practice

Real gear. Real reps.

Book time on club-standard setups, get feedback from people who've been there, and build the muscle memory you can't get from a screen.

Shows

Step up when you're ready.

Open decks, local showcases, and events around the city — because DJing is something you do with other people.

Promotion

Grow beyond the booth.

Support as you build confidence, record mixes, and find your next step. We'll help you build your brand, and we're slowly building a network of industry connections.

Expression

Your taste, your voice.

We care about the joy of putting your personality into a set — the energy you create, the moods you move through, the story only you can tell.

Our Story

Started small.
Building city by city.

From DJ@Penn to in-person teaching in Philadelphia to Booth — every step driven by the same idea: DJs need a place.

Origins

First tested with 500+ people

The idea behind Booth started as an Ivy League DJ community that grew to more than 500 members. The pattern was obvious: beginners learned faster when they had real decks, someone to guide them, and other music people in the room.

2023

Built into a real in-person training program

That early curriculum became a Philadelphia DJ school with club-standard gear, structured lessons, and instructors helping students go from their first transition to recorded sets.

Today

Booth is the next step

Now we're building Booth: The community layer around that training. Real rooms, real gear, and real instruction, expanding city by city. Every city gets a studio, an instructor, and the seedlings of a scene.

What exists now

Real instruction, real gear, select cities.

Cities & Community

Built in Philadelphia.
Expanding nationwide.

We expand by seeding new groups — fitting out local studios, training instructors and facilitators, and giving each city the tools to build its own scene. Philadelphia is part of that story.

Shared curriculum. Local rooms. Real instruction — whether you're learning your first transition or building toward your first recorded set.

“I didn't come looking for a DJ school — I came looking for people who cared about music the way I do. [Booth] gave me both.”

Crowd at a DJ event

Why In-Person?

You can't feel
a crowd through
a screen.

DJing is physical. It's reading a room, hearing your mix through real monitors, catching a mistake before the crowd does, and learning from someone standing right next to you. That's why every Booth session happens in a studio — with professional equipment, trained instructors, and other people in the room who want you to succeed.
